DATA CONTROLLER

DATA WE COLLECT

Clarisite collects the following data:

• Email address — only when you join the waitlist, via double opt-in. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6.1.a).
• URLs checked — the URL you submit to our visibility checker, and the resulting report. Legal basis: performance of the service you requested (art. 6.1.b).
• Technical events — anonymous counters (check submitted, report viewed) and a short-lived hash of your IP address for rate limiting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and free from abuse (art. 6.1.f).
• Usage analytics — Cloudflare Web Analytics, cookie-free and without cross-site tracking. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).
• Feedback messages — the message you type in the feedback widget, the page you're on, your language, and your email only if you choose to leave it (used solely to reply). We also store a truncated, non-reversible hash of your IP address to limit abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the tool (art. 6.1.f); consent for the optional email (art. 6.1.a).

FEEDBACK WIDGET

The feedback widget lets you send a message from any page. We collect the message text, the page path, your language, and your email only if you provide it. We store a hashed, truncated identifier derived from your IP address — never the IP itself — used only to rate-limit submissions. Feedback is kept for 24 months, then deleted. If you left an email, we may use it to reply; otherwise the message is fully anonymous. To request deletion of a feedback message, contact us at contact@adrienbony.fr.

DOUBLE OPT-IN

When you join our waitlist, we send a confirmation email. Your email is only added to our list after you click the confirmation link. This double opt-in process ensures you explicitly consent to receiving emails from us.

COOKIES

Clarisite uses a single functional cookie (clarisite-lang) to remember your language preference. We do not use tracking cookies. Our analytics are cookie-free and compliant with GDPR and ePrivacy directives. Because this cookie is strictly functional and our analytics are cookie-free, no consent banner is required.

YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Request a portable copy of your data
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Withdraw your consent at any time — every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link

We answer within one month. If you are not satisfied, you may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — in France, the CNIL.

DATA RETENTION

• Confirmed waitlist entries — Until unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days
• Unconfirmed waitlist entries — 90 days if the confirmation link is never clicked
• Visibility reports — 7 days (automatic expiry)
• Technical events — 12 months (aggregated analytics)
• Rate-limiting records — 1 hour
• Feedback messages — 24 months

PROCESSORS & TRANSFERS

We never sell your data. We rely on the following processors:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — Hosting, CDN, D1 database, cookie-free analytics (United States / EU). DPA
• Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) — Sending waitlist transactional emails (EU (eu-west-1)). DPA

Transfers outside the EU are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
